What you can do on Apple Watch

Prana on Apple Watch is designed for the moments when you want to begin without opening your phone. You can start selected guided breathwork patterns, choose a short duration, or begin a timed or untimed meditation timer directly from your wrist.

During a session, the watch provides visual breathing guidance, haptic cues, pause and end controls, and optional heart-rate context when Apple Health provides readings. All current Apple Watch features are free—there is no separate Watch subscription or feature purchase.

How the watch and iPhone work together

Prana is an Apple Watch companion app, so you install it through the paired iPhone app. You do not need to keep your phone open to start or complete a Watch session.

After a Watch-started session finishes, Prana sends its completion details to the iPhone companion app. When the devices connect, the session can appear in your practice history and contribute to progress. If Apple Health sync is enabled, the iPhone app can also save it as a Mindful Minute.
