Why Prana exists

Breathwork should feel easier to use in real life.

We built Prana because the moment you need breathing most is usually not the moment you want more complexity. If you are stressed, tired, restless, or trying to focus, the app should help you start quickly and then stay out of the way.

Breathing is simple. Practicing it often is not.

Most people do not need a more elaborate wellness routine. They need something useful in ordinary moments: before a hard conversation, after a long day, when sleep will not come, or when the mind will not settle.

We made Prana to reduce the gap between wanting to feel different and actually starting. You choose what kind of session fits the moment. Prana handles the pacing so your attention can return to your breath instead of the interface.

The app should support the practice, then get out of the way.

Designed for practice, not performance.

01

Start with the moment you are in.

Choose a session for calm, focus, sleep, balance, or energy instead of learning a system before you can begin.

02

Follow the breath, not a stopwatch.

Visual pacing and guided audio carry the timing, so you can pay attention to how the practice feels rather than counting every second.

03

Notice progress without pressure.

A practice can matter without being perfect. Prana helps you come back with curiosity, while optional Apple Watch context stays secondary to the practice itself.

Different days call for different breaths.

Prana includes 15+ guided breathing techniques, from familiar practices such as Box Breathing and 4-7-8 Breathing to Alternate Nostril Breathing, Ocean Breath, Kapalabhati, and more.

Some techniques help you settle. Others help you focus, sleep, or shift your energy. We are growing the library carefully, keeping each session clear enough to use on your first try and useful enough to come back to.

Simple principles for a personal practice.

Clarity before complexity

We will make the practice understandable before adding more features around it.

Encouragement without pressure

Prana should invite you back, not make you feel behind when life interrupts a habit.

Respect for your attention and data

We do not sell personal information. We aim to collect only what helps the product work and improve, and explain those choices plainly.

Small team. Long view.

Prana is made by Mind Mapping Labs Inc. We are building focused tools that help create a little more space between stimulus and response.

We are still early, and feedback genuinely shapes what we build next. Tell us what helps, what gets in the way, or which practice you want to see in Prana.
